Graduation Day

We finished the program last Saturday. We were on this fast moving train together- I describe Dr. Joshi as a powerful locomotive, he begins slowly, more quietly but he gathers speed very quickly and there is no stopping him. For questions or anything! By the end of the training some of us were really spent but had to keep our minds focused to do a marathon exam which was open notes luckily. I never wrote so fast or so much for a test, but he gave sooo much information over these three weeks..it was really something.

Then we had a lovely graduation ceremony with his entire family and staff. They all work together as a team and even his mother was there sitting next to Dr. Joshi to be part of the event. I will miss my classmates, we really did bond in the end and it is a time that will never be forgotten.

Privin was our body treatments teacher. He began working with Dr. Joshi 27 yrs ago when he was 15 yo.
The staff work 7 days a week and often very long hours until 9 or 10 pm. When the Dr. is away things lighten up and they have alot more down time but they use it to make medicated oils and other necessary tasks to keep this place running smoothly.

Dr. Joshi presented us with our certificates and welcomed us into his Vinayaka Clinic Family.

Feeling very satisfied and happy.

These women are the main staff- Aja on the left does the cleaning of the clinic and helps in the kitchen,
Nitu in the middle is the cook, and the third women works in the clinic.

Before each class, Dr. Joshi would light a candle at his alter in the classroom.
There is a picture of his Ayurvedic Teacher and a statue of Saraswati- who is the goddess of wisdom,
and  I dont know who the seated saint is.

Started my journey on the airplane with the Dr. with a selfie
and he was happy to pose for one more to end the class.

Our graduating class was small but we felt very fortunate to be part of this intimate group.

Thanks to the entire Vinayaka Clinic Family for all the love and support and fun you shared with us.
